Recently Steve was honored by the Alabama State Senate and the City of Birmingham for his career accomplishments. This event took place in Hoover, Alabama, where Steve unveiled his latest work titled " The Rose of Sharon "(see below).

Steve was presented with a formal resolution from the Senate by Senator Roger Smitherman and The City of Birmingham's Most Distinguished Citizen Award by City Council President, Carol Smitherman. Steve accepted the honors in memory of his late Mother and Father, in honor of his family and in the name of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We at Anointed Homes Art are very proud of Steve!!

Recently Steve had the honor of delivering one of his prints; The Motivator, which features legendary Coach Paul W. Bryant, to University of Alabama Athletic Director, Mal Moore.

Steve R. Skipper has been formally commissioned by University of Alabama, legendary defensive back, Jeremiah Castille to do a painting and limited edition print to commemorate his career at the University. The painting is scheduled for completion at the beginning of the 2006 football season. Proceeds from each print sale will benefit the Jerimiah Castille Ministries.

Steve recently had the honor to deliver his dynamic print, "The Hit", to Alabama head Coach Mike Shula.

Steve has finished his new painting celebrating Auburns dominating win over Alabama in the 2005 Iron Bowl. Limited Edition prints of 950 at a cost of $100.00 and 75 Artist Proofs at $300.00 will be made available from the reproduction of the original painting. 75 Canvas Gicle's will also be made available at a cost of $1,200.00.
